This project included the installation of three custom cantilever gates, each requiring a different solution based on the existing site conditions and the customer’s operational needs. One gate required the removal of existing gate posts and installation of new supports, while another involved removing and replacing an adjacent fence line to accommodate the new system. A third gate required field modification of the frame, including custom cutting and re-welding, to ensure the open gate would not interfere with a nearby pedestrian access door.
To further improve functionality at the facility, the customer also added powered access control to the gate experiencing the highest volume of vehicle traffic. Our team installed a LiftMaster gate operator paired with a two-level keypad, allowing convenient access for both standard vehicles and larger trucks. The completed project demonstrates our ability to adapt to complex site conditions while delivering customized gate and access control solutions that improve security, efficiency, and day-to-day operations.
What made this project unique:
One of the most challenging aspects of the project involved modifying an already-installed cantilever gate to accommodate an additional customer request. The gate had to be removed, custom cut and re-welded in the field, while new gate posts were also pulled and reset before the gate could be reinstalled.
Because the customer’s work area needed to remain fully secured overnight, the entire modification had to be completed within a single eight-hour workday. Successfully executing the work required multiple crews, careful coordination, and detailed planning to ensure every step was completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
