Meet The Team
Ben Seegars - Chief Executive Officer
Ben Seegars is the third-generation leader of Seegars Fence Company, a family-owned business built on strong values and a commitment to quality. Growing up in the fencing industry, Ben developed a deep understanding of the business from an early age. Since 2000, he has helped shape the company’s direction and success, officially stepping into the role of President & CEO in 2017 to lead Seegars into the future.
A Certified Fence Professional, Ben also oversees the company’s corporate distribution and fabrication center in Goldsboro, NC. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from North Carolina State University. Outside the office, Ben enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
Bobby Batchelor - Chief Operations Officer
Bobby was raised in Rose Hill, a small community in eastern North Carolina. His mother was a teacher and his father a steel fabricator. When not playing school sports, he enjoyed strategizing alongside his father in his welding shop to design custom fabrications. This led him to attend North Carolina State University where he graduated in 1999 with a degree in Industrial Engineering.
In 2001, after working as an engineer for a few years in Wilmington, NC he opened an installation branch for Seegars Fence Company in Greensboro, NC at the age of twenty-five. He married Sallie Seegars in 2005 and they now have two sons, Max and Will. In 2014, he relocated to Goldsboro to become Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of the Seegars corporation. In 2017, he, along with Ben and John Seegars, transitioned to become the third-generation owners of the Seegars Fence family of businesses. These consist of the following: a fabrication and distribution facility in Goldsboro, fifteen installation branches located throughout the Carolinas and Georgia, Southern Vinyl Manufacturing in Kinston that focuses PVC fence fabrications and distribution, and Metalcrafters in Goldsboro that focuses on steel handrail and stairwell fabrication and installations.
Bobby has served as a director of the Professional Construction Estimators Association, President of the Carolinas Chapter of the American Fence Association, and as a Director of the American Fence Association as well as President of the American Fence Association. He serves locally on the Military Affairs Committee at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and on the Trustees Committee of St. Paul Methodist Church in Goldsboro. He is an active member of C12, a network of business owners that focus on leadership and business management based on fundamental biblical principles.
John Seegars - Chief Marketing Officer
From an early age of 12, John Seegars began working with his father at Seegars Fence Company in Goldsboro. After school, he began his career with the company as the warehouse manager of Goldsboro, which soon led him to operation manager for 5 years. Wanting to explore the industry, John moved to Greenville, NC where he helped develop and stabilize the market. After 2 years in Greenville, John then appropriated the position of General Manager of SFC New Hanover, which he worked at for 2 years before returning to Goldsboro to take on his career as the company’s CMO. John is a Certified Fence Professional currently serving on the Military Affairs Committee, Carolinas Fence Association Board, The Village of Walnut Creek Council, and Goldsboro Chapter of C-12.

Seegars Helping Hands
Since our founding, Seegars Fence Company has been an active, committed partner in the communities we serve across the Carolinas. For over seven decades, we’ve proudly supported veterans’ groups, local schools, public institutions, churches, and charities, helping them further their missions through sponsorships and fundraising efforts.
In 2021, we took our commitment a step further by launching the Seegars Helping Hands Community Project, bringing our mission “To Change the World One Linear Foot at a Time” to life. Each year, our Goldsboro team selects a local community project to receive a donated fence and gate installation, personally installed by our dedicated Seegars Corporate team. At Seegars, we believe in building stronger communities, one linear foot at a time.
