We take great measures to provide the highest quality wood product line using only the best materials and installation methods, so that it is built to last. However, due to it’s natural properties, wood does tend to warp, split, expand, contract, discolor, and generally break down over time.
Wood Fence Warranty
Wood Fence Warranty: At Seegars Fence Company, we take pride in crafting and installing beautiful treated wood decorative and privacy fencing. Our goal is to deliver the finest treated wood fencing possible, built with care and expertise. We want you, our valued customer, to feel confident in your investment, while also understanding a few natural characteristics of treated wood fencing. Treated wood comes in various types and treatments, and we use high-quality #2 pine treated with a micronized copper solution to help protect against insects, rot, and decay. That said, treated wood can sometimes warp, split, or crack after installation due to factors beyond our control. To ensure your peace of mind, we’re happy to offer replacement boards or posts if you notice any warping, splitting, or cracking within ten (10) days of our final installation day. Please note that while we’ll gladly provide the replacement materials, our warranty doesn’t cover the labor to install them.
Postmaster Warranty: PostMaster offers a 15 Year Limited Warranty for any of its galvanized steel posts.
Seegars Fence Company’s Company Warranty: Seegars Fence Company guarantees our workmanship 100% for one year. We install all fences to local industry standards. Fence materials we install carry manufacturer warranties, and we extend all manufacturer warranties to the original purchasers. To ensure warranty coverage, you must complete and submit the manufacturer’s warranty card and comply with all manufacturer rules and requirements.

Wood Fence Installation Preparation
The area of your property where the fence is being installed should be clear of any objects and debris that could impede a successful installation. If your residence is under a homeowner’s association, you may be required to receive pre-approval for your project. If you are within city limits or a historical area, specific permits may be required before install can begin.
What You Should Do Before Installation:
- Understand Zoning and Covenants: Check local zoning restrictions or neighborhood covenants and communicate them to your contractor.
- Mark Private Lines: Clearly mark private underground lines, such as irrigation or septic systems, to avoid damage.
- Clear the Fence Line: Ensure the area where the fence will be installed is free of shrubs, debris, and other obstructions.
- Communicate Preferences: Discuss aesthetic details, such as the relationship between the ground and the top of the fence, with your contractor.
